Hey everyone!!!!!

Remember the 'torture lite' discussion we had so long ago - when we sat in
Leverett JCR and had people walking in and out on us...

well, the debate is THIS THURSDAY! and it is going to be AMAZING! :)

First of all - we need some HELP contacting MEDIA! So, if you have ever
wanted to call the Boston Globe, the NY Times or ABC News, contact
jwhang@fas (JANICE) and CC me on the email, and let us know that you would
like to do this with us! :)

the debate is between:
PHILIP HEYMANN, one of the two authors of the HCI Proposal
and
KEN ROTH, Executive Director of Human Rights Watch

to be moderated by

MICHAEL IGNATIEFF!

In short - we have an all-star cast!

This event is being put by HCIDO Human Rights, the Harvard Law School
Forum and another HLS Group.

It will be held THURSDAY, APRIL 21st, at **6:00pm** in AUSTIN NORTH (the
Lawschool facility between Hemenway Gym, the Science Center and Littauer
Building).

We will be *postering* on Thursday morning for this event! Please RSVP if
you can meet at 7:30am outside the John Harvard Statue on Thursday morning
to Poster! It will be fun, promise!!! :)

We will have a meeting next week to discuss our next and final project for
this semester, which is raising $1500 for PEACE and HOPE, a Peruvian NGO,
so that they can establish a training program for lawyers and judges there
to prosecute the perpetrators of Human Rights crimes in Peru.
We already have a few plans for raising this money, but we need your help!

Please RSVP and let me know if you can make a meeting next week at 10pm on
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27th, in Winthrop Dining Hall :)

Thanks all!

Aidan
