Hello all

Just thought that i would share a few thoughts with you following on from Donal's surprise announcement this morning. I discovered the delights (and often frustrations) of learning the fiddle in my later years and the pleasure of the music and meeting so many like-minded folk from all walks of life as a consequence of joining Hibernia some 6 years ago. Always fun, and at times of stress a wonderful antidote, and all because of the sheer enthusiasm of Donal and those on the committee who have shared his beliefs and been inspired to support him in providing all of us, both present and past, with the opportunities to gain so much from our shared love of music and dance. So a mega-huge thankyou from me to Donal et al, for all that you've done and the baton that you now hand on will, I'm sure be in very safe hands.  If many like-minded folk can each contribute in a small way (rather than a few people trying to do everything) then I'm sure that the spirit of Hibernia will continue to flourish and grow.  As a wise person (most likely a woman)! once said - if you always do what you've always done then you'll always get what you've always got! - time now to put some of Donal's ideas plus some new ones into an exciting Hibernia future.
