hibernate + MySQL 5.6 memcache NoSQL interface

Is this plugin required ifI want to link hibernate to the new MySQL 5.6 NoSQL interface. this uses memcache interface.
I assume i would set this as the second level cache.
has anybody done this yet, can they talk about the experience + was it a good one.
can you post examples of your settings and details to get me going please.

Sorry for not answering...

I just answered the same question on Twitter actually. I would not say that hibernate-memcached is required but I don't know if there's anything else :) You can definitely use hibernate-memcached if this new mysql feature speaks the memcached protocol.
