Hello everybody!

Below is the link for tonight's zoom meeting as well as a brief explanation of what we do at roundtable and why it is important to attend. I have also attached an itinerary to this email if folks would like to follow along or just use it for the upcoming events and training dates.  Thank you!

It was pointed out to me last night that my email was very brief and did not contextualize exactly what roundtable is a and what we seek to accomplish during them. I would like to rectify that and provide a more rounded explanation of Roundtable accomplishes.

First, it allows volunteers from all units to get a better understanding of the programming that is going on whether it be camping events, trainings, OA events, district events etc.

Roundtable also represents a good opportunity to ask questions. Many people who attend roundtable have been involved in scouting for years and a lot of them have unique knowledge in a specific area like hiking, camping, OA and policy. If you have a specific question that you might not be able to find online, (or if you get conflicting answers) there is a good chance you'll find an answer at roundtable.

Finally, roundtable provides the opportunity to identify training needs. If we find that there is a consensus question or general confusion, that indicates to us that we need to put together a training to address that weakness.

Even if you cannot attend roundtable tonight, we would love our leaders to encourage at least one person per unit to attend them in the future.

Thank you!
