I apologize if some of you receive copies of this email. I do not have the ability to cross reference who is on the Hiawatha Google Group with the list of unit Key 3 members.

Hello everybody,
This is a notice that we will be changing the Hiawatha Committee Meeting, and Hiawatha Roundtable meeting to the second and forth Thursdays of the month respectively. We are making this change to improve communication between our Key 3, Committees and Units, and to give ourselves the ability to plan and communicate our plans more cohesively. Here is the new schedule with an explanation for each as to why we're making this change. Please note that we are not changing the times. Both meetings will still be at 7:00 either via Zoom or at Our Lady of Sorrows in Vestal.

Week 1: Key 3 Meeting - The Key 3 is made up of the District Commissioner, District Chair and District Executive. Their job is to work together to address unit challenges, plan programs, and ensure the unit's success.

Week 2: Committee Meeting - The Committee meeting is for communicating to the committee's what the Key 3 discussed in the previous week's meetings. For instance, if one of the topics at the Key 3 meeting was a struggling unit, this would be the time to bring it up to the membership committee. If the Key 3 would like to plan an event, this is where that would be communicated to the activity committee (or the activity committee would report on progress being made toward that event).

Week 3: Key 3 Meeting II - Following the Committee Meeting, this is a chance for the Key 3 to regroup and figure out what is ready to be communicated to units and where certain committees might need help.

Week 4: Roundtable - This is where we take everything from the Key 3 and Committees and communicate it to units. Here is what the Key 3 and committees are working on, here is where the committees could use some help, etc. Because a Key 3 member will be at every roundtable, this gives unit leaders an opportunity to bring up any issues so they can be addressed at the Key 3 meeting next week.

In months where there are five Thursdays (like April) , the weeks will remain the same. Always the second and fourth week for committee meetings and roundtables.

All this being said, the next Committee Meeting will be on May 14th, and the next roundtable will be on May 28th.

Thank you for your attention and understanding. We hope to see you at your respective meetings!
