Problem clearing library cache

Hi, its probably me as I'm still playing around with casting and NAS style storage.  I have a WD Passport connected to my router via USB.  I can connect to the music folder using Hi-Fi cast no problem.  However when the library on the disc changes (I deleted a whole album) I cannot get the app to update, it still shows the deleted album in all views.  I have in-installed the app/cleared Media Storage/dismounted and remounted the disc from the router all to no avail.  Where does the app keep its record of media server music?

Hi,

The media server itself (on your router) keeps the database of the music stored on your WD Passport. If you are not seeing the changes you made on your WD Passport then either the Hi-Fi Cast app itself has cached the old data or your router has not re-scanned the media on your HDD.

To clear the Hi-Fi Cast cache, select 'Refresh' from the toolbar menu on the Music Library screen in the app. If that doesn't fix things you'll need to force your router to rescan the music on your WD Passport. The exact method will depend on the make/model of your router (and after the rescan is done, tap 'Refresh' in Hi-Fi Cast again).

Hi Bret and thanks for the response.  I managed to refresh the library by forcing the app to see the WD Passport again afresh (changed permissions at the router).  However subsequent messing around with tag updates leads me to believe there may be a "undocumented feature" in the app at least with this type of set-up.  Hitting refresh at the library screen does a full library refresh in folder view, however in the other tag oriented views the refresh only goes 2 levels deep i.e. folder/sub-folder.  I was having problems with compilation albums folder/sub/sub/sub the tag changes made at this level do not refresh,  Anyway if not a bug then at least this information may help someone else.
