Hi,

First ,Thanks for this awesome app.

I am trying to use it on a FiiO x7ii digital audio player. It runs 5.1.1. It auto disconmects after i hit conmect button. And then if i do the troubleshoot, it failed at the second step"Cheching media file accrss: failef, Cannot access media file".

Any idea why this happening?

Thank you!

Hi,

I'm not sure why this is happening. Could you send me a bug report via the 'Send Feedback' screen in the app. It's most useful if you do this immediately after the song fails to play.

Thanks i will do that.

Mean while, i am wondering, based on the error message "can't access URL of local media" or something, is it because that the hifi cast app put the temp audio file in some filesystem location that is not allowed by this DAP's android system?
or maybe the port is used by some other app/OS stuff ?

I can cast to a chromecast through other casting apps such as localcast, so this is very wired.'

Thanks

The app doesn't use any temp files so that's definitely not the problem. If you are playing from a local playlist, any change in the location of file will cause this error (in which case you'll have to re-create the playlist).
Clearing the playback queue and tapping refresh from the 3-dot menu in the toolbar might also help.

Hi Thanks for you reply.

I tried sending bug report but it force-closed...stupid custom android on this thing lol

anyways, here are some photos i took of the self-check result and the first error i could tell from the system log.
Is there anyway to manual extract the full log? The device has root.

Thanks again!

Are you able to see if the file actually exists in the location shown in the first photo?

If not, maybe the media database on the device has got out of sync with the sd card, tho' that still doesn't explain why other apps work. One solution might be to clear the media storage database to force the device to rescan the media. Instructions are here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/hi-cast-help-forum/NZOY1chpvs4

Hi,

I tried re scanning the midia database.
The same problem remains. Here is some more info:
When i choose to play on "this device", even though it says failed ( as in the second pic in my previous post), the file path shown is actually the correct path.
Now, when i choose to play on a chromecast, the file path shown in the failed message is something like what's in that picture, under /msp/media/xxxx, which is a directory i never use.
I am guessing that the OEM modified so many things about the android OS as its a professional audio player, and it may not be compatible with your algorithm.

Anyways, I will keep using this app on my other devices.

One quick question, when i use my phone to play audio from a DLNA server, I have a folder that has some audio files and another folder inside. The problem is that, when i want to go into the inner folder, i have to scroll down and find it in a random position in the list of files. Is there a way to have the folder stuck to the top of the file list?
I will pay for the premium version if the folder can be easily accessed.

Thank you very much!
