Which UPnP/DNLA server are you using / recomand to use?

Hello,

I wonder which UPnP/DNLA server you recomand to use under Windows to have the complete feature from HiFi Cast to search by artist/album/title etc... ?

I'm currently using Universal Media Server but those features are not available...

Hi.

MinimServer is good for searching. The only Hi-Fi Cast functionality that I know of that doesn't work well with MinimServer is Local Playlists.

I love using MinimServer because it allows me to have my album lists sorted by Artist/Date instead of by the Album Name. So within each artist, the albums are sorted into chronological order. To do that, just change the tagOptions to Album.sortTags={Artist, +Date}.

Asset UPnP for example, does have an "Album by Artist" option, but then all the albums for a particular artist are just in random order.

Also, the "Artist" containers in MinimServer are album artists only (which I prefer). There are separate "All Artists" containers if you want to include compilation albums. In Asset UPnP the "Artist" containers include compilations.

It's been quite a while since I tried Asset UPnP, so things may have changed.

I use the Emby Server and although it has its own Android app for playing music, it lacks some important features for me like equalizer support among a few others, so I've been using Hi-Fi Cast with Emby's DNLA plugin and it works perfectly with the Hi-Fi Cast app.

I use DSM with default media server, but Hi Fi cast app cannot get high quality cover image, only embed image used, but DS Audio can show cover image with audio file.

Dose MinimServer can support cover image with audio files?
