Hi,
no matter what I tried, they are not anymore working. I don't excactly when this happened but can be only since 2-3 weeks I would say.
Before I just copied the m3u playlist from my NAS to my smartphone into the /Music/MP3/ folder and it was working as it still does when I stream music from my NAS with the same m3u playlist. The error that comes up is the usual "no content found for this area" (Kein Inhalt in diesem Bereich gefunden).

The playlist looks like this:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:301,10cc - Dreadlock Holiday
..\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\10cc - Dreadlock Holiday.mp3
#EXTINF:285,10cc - Rubber Bullets
..\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\10cc - Rubber Bullets.mp3
#EXTINF:449,AC/DC - Ain't No Fun
..\60-70-80-90\70'\CD's\AC_DC\AC_DC - Dirty deeds done dirt cheap\07. Ain't No Fun.mp3
#EXTINF:208,AC/DC - Highway to Hell
..\60-70-80-90\70'\CD's\AC_DC\AC_DC - Highway To Hell\01. Highway To Hell.mp3
#EXTINF:266,AC/DC - Touch Too Much
..\60-70-80-90\70'\CD's\AC_DC\AC_DC - Highway To Hell\04. Touch Too Much.mp3
#EXTINF:274,Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
..\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\Aerosmith - Sweet emotion.mp3
#EXTINF:184,The Walter Murphy Band - A Fifth Of Beethoven
..\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\A fifth of Beethoven - The Walter Murphy Band.mp3
#EXTINF:223,Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies
..\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies.mp3
#EXTINF:244,Alice Cooper - Elected
..\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\Alice Cooper - Elected.mp3
#EXTINF:180,Alice Cooper - I'm Eighteen
..\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\Alice Cooper - I'm Eighteen.mp3
#EXTINF:187,Alice Cooper - No More Mr. Nice Guy
..\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\Alice Cooper - No More Mr. Nice Guy.mp3

The playlist and underlying folder structure resides in \Music\MP3 locally on my device.
As it is a relative playlist on my NAS it has the 2 dots at the beginning of the path but removing the 2 dots doesn't fix the issue. Also tried a lot of other combinations, replaced backslash "\" with "/" slash, moved it up to \Music folder and changed paths in the m3u file accordingly, nothing worked. Anyway all this was not necessary a few weeks before.
The data structure on my device for the above example is accordingly set, i.e.:
\Music\MP3\60-70-80-90\70'\Tracks\title.mp3

This issue sounds to me that there was a change in the Android media database.
Because all playlists on my NAS play without any issues in Hifi -Cast.
Any idea how to get locally stored m3u playlists on the smartphone working again?

Can I still count with an answer from the developers?

Hi,

Sorry but I don't have answer for this. It's Android that processes the m3u file and not the Hi-Fi Cast app.
Maybe Android doesn't like the single quote character in the file paths? Though I don't know why this would suddenly stop working (unless the phone had an Android version update).

well, my Samsung S23 Ultra has the latest Android version. But other apps like foobar or similar apps that play MP3 and playlists don't have this problem, so I doubt that is an Android problem.
