Song Order

I am using a Synology media server to Android phone.

I created a new "album" from several tracks by the same artist from different CDs. I changed the metadata to have a uniform set of file names for the tracks and the desired track number ordering. Upon importing this to the Synology, the order of songs shows up correctly based on track information.  If important, all of the original CDs are also in the Synology music library.

When I play the songs from the Synology server on my computer, they play in the correct order. 

When I download the list from the media server to my phone, the order is incorrect.  

I selected all three of the HiFi Cast choices in the settings for configuring the media server for "sort method for album tracks" and the order is always the same and incorrect.  This is especially puzzling for the choice to "sort the order by track number on the client".  The track information is correct when I look at the menu "song details" entry in HiFi Cast, yet the order as shown is incorrect.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

In the Hi-Fi Cast app are you navigating to your new album via the albums list or by navigating the folder hierarchy (I don't have access to a Synology media server but I assume it allows you to get to the album by either method)?. If the latter then the 'Sort method for album tracks' option will be ignored and the sort order you see is the one used by the Synology media server - so the solution would be to navigate to the album via the albums list. If that's what you're already doing then I'm not sure what's going on - I assume all your other albums are listed in the correct order.
