Do you have a media server that you know has Playlists or Folder View or Radio Stations but you can't see them in Hi-Fi Cast?
If yes then there's any easy fix.
But some background information first.
UPnP/DLNA servers will present your media as a hierarchy of containers. At the top level, many will list only Music, Images and Video and so the
browse tree might look something like this:
-Media Server
|-- Music
| |-- Albums
| |-- Artists
| |-- Genres
| |-- Playlists
| |-- Folders
| |-- Radio Stations
|
|-- Images
|-- Video
Hi-Fi Cast will attempt to place you in the Music section of the browse tree so that you don't even see Images and Video. In the example above, the tabs you see in the Hi-Fi Cast media browser will be Albums, Artists, Genres, Playlists, Folders and Radio Stations (and Local Playlists, which Hi-Fi Cast adds itself).
The problem arises when the server presents a browse tree where Playlists, Folders and/or Radio Stations are at the top level - like this:
-Media Server
|-- Music
| |-- Albums
| |-- Artists
| |-- Genres
|
|-- Playlists
|-- Folders
|-- Radio Stations
|-- Images
|-- Video
If your server does this, then you won't see Playlists, Folders or Radio stations because Hi-Fi Cast is only showing the content under Music.
As mentioned above, there is an easy fix. Just do this:
On the 'Select Media Server' screen, tap the settings icon for your media server
Tap 'Top Level Music Folder'
Tap 'Media Server' and then OK
Tap the back arrow to return to the music library
Media servers which are known to be affected include foobar (for Playlists) and some Fritz!Box models (for Radio Stations).
