Hello !
I'm discovering the Hi-Fi cast app on androïd which seems nice and better than the DS Music I'm using at the moment.
The way I listen to music is about exclusively this one :
Library = NAS (Synology)
Player = Marantz NR1200 (by Ethernet link)
Controller = app on my Android.

So... when I'm trying Hi-Fi Cast, it discovers my Marantz just fine. If I link to a phone library, it controls the music just fine. It even recognizes that I've got a NAS with its name... fine....

But then it tries to connect automatically to the NAS without letting me setting the address, name + PW...and it of course fails....
I've tried to parameter it... but nothing about these 3 mandatory fields....

I must have missed something.... but where ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The app doesn't have any way for you to enter a name and password. I think you would need to configure the media server on your NAS to allow connections from your Android device and Marantz player without requiring a password eg. based on IP address.

Philippe

I use a Synology DS216 NAS and have installed MinimServer as the Media Server. It works very well and needs no passwords

Well... Hello Everybody...
I've followed the advise and installed  MinimServe.
It worked  immediately !

Thanks a lot !
HI-Fi Cast seems to be a great app :-)
Actually the behavior of my Marantz NR1200 with Hi_Fi Cast is "normal", better than DS Audio (from Synology) that usually causes ghost behavior (MArantz waking up about 20´´ after you turn it off) :-)
TKS to everybody !
