Playing Radio Stations on Yamaha MusicCast

Hi,

I've imported a radio station playlist for Absolute Radio but they won't play to my MusicCast devices. Is this because they're incompatible in some way? The default radio stations will play so I'm scratching my head. Appreciate some guidance.

By 'default' ... Are you saying that individual links play both locally (to the local device) and to MusicCast (via UPnP)?

What are your links? Where did you get your playlist info?

I don't know all the ins and outs ... but HiFiCast caters to ShoutCast searches/streams - hit and miss with custom links.

Sister App - Raydio caters to both ShoutCast and OnRadio (DarFM/UberStations) searches/streams.

Absolute Radio links are available from OnRadio, and hence Raydio.

Absolute Radio works for me on Raydio - but not HiFiCast (yet).

Some links only allow access from UK too. (I'm not in UK).

Have you tried direct from the Yamaha MusicCast App?

I don't have Yamaha MusicCast but have seen/used it - I have Panasonic ALL.

Panasonic ALL use Airable radio (and works for Absolute Radio)

Yamaha MusicCast - have switched from VTuner to Airable (see link, and sublink on page https://www.airablenow.com/airable-radio-and-podcasts-on-which-yamaha-devices/ ) - you may need a firmware update(?)

VTuner links should still work too.
