Gapless problems with AudioPro C3 Wifi speaker

Hi,

I'm struggling to get HifiCast to use an AudioPro C3 Wifi speaker as a uPNP playback device with gapless playback.

Whatever combination of Gapless / Eventing mode I choose, a gap of about 1 sec is inserted between tracks.

Any suggestions what else I could try?

Using the same version of HiFi Cast streaming the same flac files from via the same phone to a different uPNP renderer (Volumio on wifi) or direct to the device itself does gapless perfectly.

Just the AudioPro C3 on wifi that's giving me grief.
The AudioPro support say their device is perfectly capable of gapless but it's not something that needs setting up on the speaker itself, but rather the source.
