When navigating the containers of your media server you can get directly back to the top container by tapping the left pointing arrow in the app bar (at the top of the app).
To move back just one level in the container hierarchy, tap your device's back arrow.
If your DLNA/UPnP server does not support search, then the
Shuffle Library option will not be shown in the Hi-Fi Cast app. However, you can actually shuffle your library if your server has a container that lists all the songs in your collection (if it exists, it will probably be named
All Music or
All Audio). Simply tap the play icon on one of the songs in your
All Music container and then go to the
Queue or
Playing Now screen and turn on shuffle mode.
Tip 3. Excluding foldersThe Hi-Fi Cast app does not have an option where you can include or exclude specific folders. This is because it relies on the Android media scanner (which is actually a system app named MediaStorage) to find the media on your device. However, if you add a file named .nomedia to a folder then the media scanner will ignore it. See:

Tip 4. Quick access to settingsYou can quickly get to the settings page for the Music Library and Now Playing screens by long pressing the toolbar on those screens.
