Eighth Grade Parent Orientation

On February 16 at 7 pm in the McCormick Auditorium all freshmen parents
are invited to a special opportunity to gain valuable information about
your student�s freshman schedule and to learn what courses are available
for freshman students. We will discuss the importance of the Program
Planning Guide that contains valuable information about courses,
graduation, and academic planning. We will also overview a typical
freshman year as well as provide information about planning your student�s
four year course of study.. The department heads or freshman core course
teachers at the high school will discuss their particular academic area
and be available for questions afterwards. This is a great session to
attend to make sure you understand the path your student will be on the
next four years. In past years, most every freshman-to-be family was
represented at this very important assembly.
