Odyssey Project Proposal
Sirens, Scylla and Charybdis: The Movie/Puppet Show
Purpose and title of the project
(What will it accomplish? Why did you call it this?)
It will tell the story of Odysseus’ journey past the sirens, Scylla,
and Charybdis, which is an important and entertaining chapter of his
life. I called it this to give the audience some idea as to what the
project will be about.
Resources
(What materials will you need? Who is responsible for getting the
materials?)
I will need to use my camera and my computer, and then probably use
paper for the characters. I will be responsible for all materials,
considering the fact that I am working by myself.
Justification
(How will your project demonstrate your expertise and understanding of
at least one aspect of The Odyssey? WHY do it? (Don't say because I
said so!) Why should I accept it?)
I am familiar with most of The Odyssey, and I intend to do it as
much justice as I can with my project. I will do it because I enjoyed
doing my movie project for Halloween, and I would like to be able to
do a movie of at least one part of a Greek myth. You should accept it
because it will be very entertaining and will certainly have every
important aspect of the story in the movie (Unlike the Percy Jackson
movie, which was an okay movie, but didn’t stay true to the book
almost at all.)
Organizational Time-line
(How will you complete your project? How will you meet deadline? How
will the group members be accountable for deadlines and project
responsibilities? Be specific with names of group member, dates &
times to work, and when each assignment is due)
I will decide exactly what I’m going to do first, because I’m still
not 100% sure that I can do another movie. I will get the characters
done first, and maybe a small script, but other than that, I’ll just
have to try my best. I will meet deadline, whether I have a movie or
not. Right now, I need to make sure I’m doing a movie and not just a
puppet show, which might be a bit embarrassing. I will do all the
work, and have all the responsibilities of getting it done on time.
Project Proposal Format
(Your proposal should look polished, professional, (error-free,
mechanically sound, and typed)
