Why can't the application be made online?

If I am with an employer which doesn't want me to go on a paid holiday, can I resign and apply as an individual, once the scholarship selection is confirmed for me?

I tried to physically find the Hindu office in Bangalore, but the confusion on the roads didn't let me. Finally someone guided me back home.
I would have already applied if all of this was done Online. Now I am planning to just wait till my company transfers me to some place else.

I will visit Japan some day when I have earned enough money to travel to the more expensive places, for now it's Thailand I guess.

Hello Samir,

Just few days ago I came to know about the existence of such a scholarship. Can you just tell me that exactly around what date we can see the notification in the Hindu newspaper. Will be waiting for your reply as I am keenly interested in going japan (I know japanese also learning from past 4 yrs) and since I also live in bangalore so will also need your help in finding the hindu's office place.
