I love the month of August!  We begin a new school year...it's the month of my birthday and my wedding anniversary...plus we are harvesting delicious food from our garden! 

 

Here are a few blog posts I'll highlight from the month of July:

 

*We had a lively discussion about...girly stuff.  Please go read this post and all the comments if you haven't already.  I believe this information is TERRIBLY important for women to know.  Please read it and pass it along.

 

*With zucchini growing in full force, I've posted several recipes:  Chocolate Chip Zucchini Cookies and Bars, Cheeseburger Zucchini Boats, and Whole Wheat and Honey Zucchini Bread and Muffins.  What delicious ways to sneak more veggies into our diets!

 

*Because we like starting school early in the year at our house, I've been sharing a bit about our homeschooling choices like what curriculum we like and how we budget for homeschooling.

*Info on the non-toxic soaps, detergents and etcetera I like to use

*More zucchini recipes (Zucchini Brownies and Zucchini Cake)

 

Now..the big news of the day:

Encouragement for Today:

 

As our family begins a new school year, we plan to focus on Colossians 3:17:  Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  That will be our "theme verse" this year as we train our kids and continue to train our own hearts to do everything with a God filled purpose.
