While it would be good to focus on actual plans rather than just opinions or comments, short of that, Change.org is an example of how public input can be facilitated: http://stratml.us/carmel/iso/COwStyle.xml

This query reveals a number of Change.org petitions referencing Hilton Head: https://www.change.org/search?q=Hilton%20Head

If HHI truly aims be inclusive, online services like that will be included among the means of facilitating input and feedback.

BTW, a compilation of the goals from comp plan work groups is now available in StratML format at http://connectedcommunity.net/hhi/OPDT.xml  It contains Comment links that address messages to the discussion forum at at http://connectedcommunity.net/HHI.html  It also includes some Relationship links cross-referencing mutually supportive objectives across the WGs' plans.

Presumably, the staff and Plan Development Team will be addressing additional cross-walks but it would be good if the members of the WGs could be engaged in identifying and fleshing them out as well.  Hopefully, at some point online tools will make that easy to do, via crowdsourcing.

In the meantime, it would be good if any organization wishing to be recognized in an online directory were to publish its "about us" statement in StratML format on its own website, linking its objectives to the goals in the comp plan -- thereby helping to make us a Truly Connected community.
