Taylor, bravo on the most recent edits to the work group plans.  I particularly like these in the Excellence WG's plan:
Objective 3.2: Center for Excellence - Create a Center for Excellence within the Town that will maintain and monitor Our Ideals of Excellence as they relate to or are embedded with Town processes, policy and projects.
Objective 3.2.2: Measurement - Develop and deploy a survey or measurement tool to obtain the Island community’s outlook on Our Ideals of Excellence, interests, input or concerns as applicable for Town projects, processes or policies.
Objective 3.3: Quality of Life Metric - Research and develop a quality of life metric to implement into the planning and policy process.
Objective 3.6: Engagement - Continue to engage the community above and beyond what is minimally required for the planning and policy development process.
Objective 3.6.2: Online Tools, Apps & Services - Evaluate and incorporate the application of online tools, applications or services in planning and engagement processes.
Objective 3.9: Continuous Improvement - In the development of best practices and standards for processes, policies and projects, use innovation, experimentation and learning to continually build and improve upon past experiences.
Shea, I also like the new wording of these from our Connected & Collaborative Community WG's plan:
Objective 1.1.1: Technology Infrastructure - Plan for technology infrastructure to facilitate best-in-class government services.
Objective 1.1.3: Online Tools - Evaluate the development and use of technology like online tools, apps and services to facilitate connectivity, enhance transparency and increase outreach and public involvement.
Objective 1.1.4: Testing & Input - Solicit input from stakeholders when testing new tools for communication.
Objective 1.2: Participation - Ensure optimal opportunities are provided for citizen and stakeholder participation in the planning and policy development process.
I'm looking forward to seeing what we can make of this goal from the Infrastructure WG's plan:  Goal 7: Technology - Anticipate policy implications and resource investments needed to embrace emerging technologies.

All three versions of all of the WG's plans (except for the Parks & Recreation Task Group) are now available in StratML (and PDF) format at http://connectedcommunity.net/HHI.html

I'm looking forward to the Plan Development Team meeting on Monday.  I'll continue to look for opportunities to highlight the importance of data standards.  Recognition of that need/opportunity is growing at the Federal level, as evidenced by this objective in the Federal Data Strategy Action Plan.  I hope we can demonstrate leadership by example in pursuing it here at the local (and State) level as well.  A good place to start would be by publishing our plan in an open, standard, machine-readable format and encouraging the State to invite other jurisdictions to do likewise, thereby enabling inter-jurisdictional coordination and collaboration in a virtual online State-wide comprehensive planning system.
