Please join us for this weeks His Net round table discussion, conditions permitting.  We'll be meeting on 3802kHz ±5kHz for QRM at 7AM ET, 6AM CT, 5AM MT, 4AM PT Wednesday morning.  We'll do a second net on 7285kHz ±5kHz for QRM 7,285kHz at 11AM ET, 10AM CT, 9AM MT, 8AM PT Wednesday morning.  This dual frequency plan is to insure initial contact without falling back to the phone while giving us the option to use the best frequency.  Looking forward to hearing you there.

Conditions on 80m were pretty good this morning and I was easily coping Dennis and he was able to copy me with difficulty, which is a big improvement.  During his September visit we experimented with his radio and discovered the RF Gain was not set properly.  I'm wondering if that might explain the improvement?  Check-ins were:

AC7LU Charley Net Control
KD7MLX Sheila
KD0TTF Dennis

Conditions on 40m later in the day were about as good as I've ever encountered.  Dennis and I had a easy listening conversation and we even started wondering if we'd found the magic spot and time of day to converse with one another.  Check-ins were:

AC7LU Charley Net Control
KD7MLX Sheila
KD0TTF Dennis

PS.  Thought I might have heard Bob WH6UO calling on the 80m band earlier this morning, but could get confirmation.

Could hear both Charley AC7LU in Wyoming and Dennis KDOTTF in South Dakota at both 7am and 11am (lighter) edt from my mobile (RV) base in New Jersey. Will have to work on the REST ratings for my log.

That's good to know Bob. Were you using your Hi-Q antenna? If so, what
kinda tuning results did you achieve? Did I hear you call on 80m? If
so, did you hear me ask for confirmation?
