Here is what I'm still working on:
  • GTM - syncing with Tom's pitch
  • Business Model - syncing with Tom's pitch
  • Competition - syncing with Tom's pitch
  • Financials Appendix - Gabe working on

I'm still struggling a bit on the Competition part with ammo for the time savings - especially for Looxcie.

Does anyone have any insights on Looxcie that will help us figure out where to put them on the time scale and justify it?

Thanks,
Tom

I was thinking that competition is actually in terms of three dimensions namely:
  1. User control
  2. Time savings
  3. Convenience

Looxcie - High on User Control, high on time savings, low in terms of convenience
Majisto etc - Low on User Control, moderate on time savings, low in terms of convenience (have to use IPhone etc)
HH - High on User Control, High on time savings, high in terms of convenience.

Tom, maybe you can talk about the third dimension even if it is hard to show on the deck.

yep. if it is easier working in Excel, I can easily work with that as well.

You could always rank then low on control because it only has a button. People "lose control" of the ability/flexibility to use other cameras or something?

I dunno. It's more of a spin-it thing.

I wrote down...

Reliable.(control/trust)
Simple.(ease of use)
Fast. (time)

Tom, check out GTM... it should be in sync with your pitch notes now (and it's friggin' animated!).

After reading the pitch notes for the Biz Model slide, I'm thinking we're better off providing text

I think we should abstract Looxcie to represent devices with bookmark buttons. The Looxcie has other issues with it (like you can only do 30 second clips), but let's keep things simple.

Here's another way to break it down.

1. Reliable
  • Magisto/HC suck because their algorithms decide for you
  • Looxcie is good but not perfect because buttons are harder to find and press, especially with gloves on
  • HH is good but not perfect because occasionally users bookmark incorrectly
2. Accessible -- whether it works for all cameras and all situations
  • Magisto/HC are good but not perfect because content can't be rotated
  • Looxcie sucks because you need their camera
  • HH is great because it works just about everywhere. We'll have a harder time with really dark footage but that's rare.
All competitors represent the same time savings so I don't think it's worth comparing on that dimension.

Does this help?

Noah, is Convenience a better way to describe the points that you have for Convenience?
And as a con for Magisto/HC, you cannot use any camera.

I was thinking more "ease of use" that easily translates to "Simple" which is great for marketing materials.

Ease of use instead of Accessible? They're not exactly the same but if it's easier to communicate it that way, I'm cool.

You actually can use any camera with Magisto. You just have to upload the videos through their website. Like Looxcie, we should think of Magisto/HC as simply the set of "automagic software algorithms".

Hey Guys,

I reformatted the detailed expenses sheet so that it is collapsable.

It is located in a new dropbox folder call appendix in final pitch

Chris is it possible for you to embed an excel sheet directly powerpoint. Otherwise we can just have this running on excel in the background and have to click over to it.

I think it looks fine. I moved the file to \Dropbox\Highlight Hunter BP\Pitch Deck\FINAL DECK\FINAL PITCH DECK just so it was in the same folder as the pitch deck; however, I am not linking to the file but rather embedding the file into PPT so that we reduce the dependencies that the pitch deck has. If you need to show the details of the collapsed items, then you just double click into the file from within the slide (not while presenting though).
