Summer Siege

Summer Siege has passed in a blur of activity, and I would like to thank all those who made my job as Event Steward as easy as it gets.

First, thank you to His Majesty Nigel for making the trek out to the very eastern edge of Your Kingdom.  The event carried more grander because You graced us with Your presence.  And to Her Majesty Adrielle, You were in our hearts all day.

To Lady Kaðlín Konálsdottir and Clause Rosenow, thank you for slaving over the fire to cook lunch for a huge crowd of hungry people.  And thank you to Lady Gina Dragoni for running the lunch counter with efficiency.

To the crowd of marshals in four different disciplines - Lady Morag Taylor, Lord Gottfried von Hengstberg, Lord Gavin MacAidan, Lord Cennèdig of Flichesburg, and Lord Martin Breua - thank you for your work setting up list fields and ranges, building sheep, and standing all day in the hot sun to ensure that others could enjoy hitting each other and/or targets.  Thanks in particular to Lord Cennèdig and Lord Martin for ensuring that the Barony has new archery and thrown weapons champions.

To Lord Dafydd ap Alan, thank you for organizing the A&S competition, and ensuring that the lone entrant had a chance to get feedback on her work. Thanks to TH Lady Constance of Caldrithig and Lady Gina Dragoni for judging.

To Lady Jane, thank you for making sure His Royal Majesty was well taken care of.

To all those who sat gate, thank you for your work dealing with almost double the normal attendance at Summer Siege.  (Lady Morag, Lord Richard of Dragon Castle, TH Lady Avelyn Wexcombe, and Lord Magnus Strykewind).

And lastly, I would like to thank those who were involved with Lady Alais' vigil and elevation.  Although you were not technically event staff, your poured your energy into the event.  It was a pleasure to work with you and you brought much joy to Summer Siege.

Yours in service,
Lady Gwendolyn of Aldburg
Event Steward, Summer Siege
