hg attic removes the ability to do partial commits

to Attic Extension for Mercurial
When I have attic enabled, I am no longer able to just selectively
include/exclude files on commit. For any variation of options, it
commits all the files.
I am talking about the -I, -X options available on hg commit.
Is this a bug or some other RTFM I need to catch up on?
