could any other named branch be the default branch or could hg-git import git branches to other named hg branches?

Hi

Lately I have to push and pull a lot to git repositories using hg-git
(that is why I also but them into the CC). For my workflow it is best to
rely on topics and use Manuel Jacob's patch that allows to push these
topics into git branches.

The problem is the import. The hg-git plugin imports git branches as
bookmarks into the default branch.

Fortunately I generate most of that repositories and call git's default branch, well default (and not master or main)


However there are still zillions of git repositories that use either main or master as the default branch.

Therefore:

1. Mercurial: is there a way to tell mercurial the default named
branch should be called say main?

2. Hg-git: is it possible to import git branches to other mercurial
named branches, say main or master?
