Yeah, but it's twenty fricken bucks per sheet - $20 !!!! The price drops if
you can sift through the crap and actually find four sheets worth buying,
then the price drops to 4 sheets for $40 (that is the first price break).
"You can get the images on a disk for $12.95."
Yeah, an old FLOPPY disk (1.4MB) - I was expecting a CD-R - and the images
look like they're taken with a really crappy webcam. They're not even up to
the poor quality standards of the extremely low resolution (380 by 472
pixels or 0.18 megapixel), they're actually MUCH WORSE than that. They're
slightly above what you might expect from a worn-out security camera. The
rows of pixels don't even line-up (image 'tearing'), the exposure is off,
and they're not worth printing (hardly worth even looking at - they're just
annoyingly bad).
The disk was a complete waste of $13.
"It's not an appointment, it is an estimated time..."
In other words, be prepared to waste about 90 minutes waiting and don't have
any other plans later that day (like meals).
All in all - a complete waste of time. Highly *NOT* recommended.

I'm surprised. The best portrait I have of my son came from a
package I got there. ALL the shots were good but one was outstanding.
I didn't find the prices unreasonable either. I bought 4 sheets and
that gave me an 8" X 10", a couple of 5" X 7" and load of wallet
sized ... not bad for professional quality. I also got the prints on
disc and it came with a screen-saver program that features all the
shots.

Wal-Mart in Sackville. I found them personable and accommodating. One year I
had an appt for 7:30 and they ran about 10 minutes late. My little guy was
getting a cold and was cranky and tired, and I swear, we were in and out of
there with portraits ordered in 10 minutes. The only reason I didn't use
them last year is because my son's daycare hired a professional photographer
to take their pictures, and the portraits were so beautiful I couldn't pass
them up.

I've been dealing with the one in New Minas for the last 3 years and have
had nothing but great service with them. Usually go with a package for like
10.00 and have in mind the poses I want and has never cost me more then
45.00 to get everything I need. And I usually do get the floppy and have
found the quality very good. Sounds like it may have been a bad floppy that
they copied to. I would suggest going back in to the store and see if they
can make you another copy.

There are some people who would suggest it seems like Wal-Mart
has been here that long. :-)
