Funny thing is that Franke called it a week ago. Many were scoffing but was he ever right on this one! Uncanny.

It's 6:15 am and I'm looking forward to some reasonable hour to get my snowblower going.

I set up my SJ4000 action camera with a five minute shutter interval timelapse around 6pm last night. The placement wasn't the best but I'm hoping the effect will be cool. Results will be posted later.

Hope no one has a heart attack or back problem today!

Cheers,
John

I assume shortly I'll have the tedious job of listening to the men
clearing the snow off the fire escape and paths etc. It's a difficult
job :)

I'm trying to roast my 27-year old son out of bed to shovel some of
it! Seems to enjoy free rent more than snow shovelling. And the
classic "Millennial" answer is "Things are different today, Dad" is
wearing thin, LOL!

Damn snow needs to be moved so we can get out. It doesn't do it by
itself, regardless of the Millennial "different times" theory! Oh well.
I have him blocked in with my car, and I ain't moving it until he helps.
Leverage is different than my father used. He asked and I did. It
will be all done this afternoon, and I don't have anywhere to go.

Ack! He should be up and at 'em and helping you. I sure lucked out with my son because when he still lives at home he would often just go and shovel the driveway and sidewalk on his own initiative. He knew I didn't want to come home to a snowy driveway if he was home doing nothing.

They woke me at 6:30 this morning ...two bobcats and a snowblower. I enjoyed watching them as I sipped my morning coffee. :-)

So tell us, are you thrilled with the snowblower and avidly awaiting
more snow falls ???

You bet I am! I actually caught myself in the garage before the storm the other day looking at my snowblower and talking to it. It makes snowstorms actually fun. I never thought I would live to see the day. Bring it on! (But then make it melt:-)

Cheers!!!

Trust me, this love affair won't last! I give it one snowy winter
and then dragging out the snow blower only ranks one better than
dragging out the shovel :)

Oh I don't know about that... it feels much like owning a small boat and an outboard. The smell of gas and the manipulation of the transmission and snow chute and the shooting arc of the snow are all pretty cool. The satisfaction of clearing a hellish pile all without breaking a sweat is hard to beat. I can't see myself ever getting tired of it.

Cheers!!
