The speed of the US boys really put the Canadian boys off their game last
night, and I have never seen a Canadian team cough up the puck as many times
as they did. Outright breakaways, two on ones, short handed goals
against---they did it all. But in spite of that, they found a way to come
back and win. It was nice that the little goalie, Allan, was the one who won
the game.

They coughed the puck up 4 times. No biggie!!! The U.S. speed was simply
speed for need. They knew they had to skate hard agains a faster and more
powerful Canadian team. It was a good wakeup call from Canada.

As for Allen. He's not a little goalie Hawk and he gave up some bad goals
so he certainly wasn;t the one who won it for Canada. Jordan Eberle was the
one who I give the nod to for winning it for Canada. Edmonton has a nice
player in their system that's for sure.

Well doobie---there were way more than 4 puck give-aways. Were you perhaps
celebrating too much??
Ya, no doubt that Eberle carried the team out of trouble on his back, but I
was speaking about the wicket save by Allen on the third shot of the
shootout. If the guy had gone upstairs again, like the first two shots, it
would have gone in. But all in all, a great game and we all have our
impressions.
I feel sorry for people who are not hockey fans.

You're a good guy Hawk, but that save was not a great save. The Yank player
shot the puck directly at Allen. Go to tsn.ca and check out the replay.
Not much of an effort on the Yank players part. In fact you could argue
that the Yank player lost the game for the Yanks.

I have to agree that the sped of the USA team was something to watch. It
looks like they took a page out of our own play book and showed that they
where there to compete, and compete they did. I feel that they should have
won the game hands down if it where not for the Jake Allen keeping us in the
game. It was like we never showed up to play a hockey game last night. I
thought we had a world junior game that was suppose to be played but it
looked like our team may have been a junior midget team and not a world
junior contender. Maybe last night's game was an eye opener for the team and
they play a lot better during the next game.Have to admit though that Eberle
is something to watch.....GO CANADA GO !!!!!!

Hell, Doob. Is this not what being a hockey fan is all about?. The US team
got out thunk on the third penelty shot. The Yank player got told to shoot
the wicket--after the first two shooters went high. Allen had already let in
about three wicket shots, and they figured they had him set up for a
another. But he was ready for it and only it; he would not have saved a
roofer. The Yank shot at a closed five hole, as he was told to do. That
is--IMHO. Now I am sure you will give me your humble opinion. LOL

Ha ha--to the core, my man, to the core. I dunno why I used that
term---someone used it last night and I just picked it up, I guess.
It's 5 hole all the way. I shall never use w%$#t ever again.
Watching the girls play tonight. Bit slower but still good hockey, and
entertaining.
