My pickup (I can't tow our trailer with my cooper) came from there. They
had no problems with my taking 2 or 3 test drives including one with a
mechanic friend of mine. They didn't want to haggle, The price is the
price was the sales managers line, while mine was the dome gasket leaks,
it costs $400 at the dealer, either fix it to my specifications or come
down $400 on the price so I can go and get it fixed. Quite reasonable I
thought. I was walking out the door when the salesman called his both
with boss, he's got cash and likes the truck but he's walking away and
it's only $400 bucks. Probably the fact that it was a friday at the end
of the month and they both probably needed a little more in the pay
envelope that month, I won.

Cars'R'Us might not be bad, but I'd be very hesitant to buy from a Sackville
Dr. dealer. But then, I bought my car from Hillcrest VW, and had to put $2k
into it within the first few months of ownership... You can be taken by
anyone, I guess.

Anyone with an account at:
http://www.carproof.com
http://www.carfax.com
that can check the history of a 1993 Toyota 4-Runner, V6, 4 door, red,
SR5?, with VIN (serial #):
JT4VN36H9P0016925
was owned for a long time by prior owner and traded in.Thanks I
appreciate it.
> Why bother checking the history of an 14yr old SUV? It was traded in for $1200.- Hide quoted text -
How do you know it was traded in for $1200?, email me if you
want.Thanks.
As an addendum to that advice, if the dealer refuses to allow you to
have it inspected at a garage of your choice, or insists it is
inspected only by a particular garage, walk away from the deal.
I later found out the car had belonged to an old vice-principal at my high
school, so I phoned him. How much had they given him at trade-in? $50...
