Although I appreciate all of the violent suggestions, I would like to settle
the matter with a little civility. The seller (judging from google archives)
seems to post here quite often, and on the off-chance that this is a genuine
mistake, I wouldn't want to tarnish a reputation.

Of course if I were to find out that this person rather frequently rips
people off, I would have no problem ripping something of his off... and I
don't mean his stereo.

Post his e-mail address and name to this newsgroup to warn others.

If your confident you have his -real- information, I would suggest going to
the police. He took your money, and you have not received anything in
exchange for the money. That is illegal.

I bought a washer and drawer from someone here and neither of them work all

your little friend and give him one last chance to pay prior to introducing
him to your Louisville Slugger.

Why in the hell protect this idiot post his name and e-mail maybe then
he will reconsider his actions if he wants to sell in here again and
come around. If not then maybe look into legal action and/or small
claims court. Protecting this guys identity will only leave someone
else vulerable to this type of action in the future! Why oh why
protect their identies just say truthfully what they did they wont
have any grounds for retaliation! Also you should have gotten a name
from the account you deposited the money in POST THE NAME if you did

I'm just a little pissed off right now. I have all the emails and other info
(his bank account number for eg) organized, just waiting to be dropped off

I would post all known information.. Including :

Names... and/or nicknames
What city he lives in
Any email address you have for him
Email headers that contain IP addresses
Phone Numbers
Etc...

Someone may be able to track him down with this information....
Mabey even give you a home address or telephone number.

I believe that once this information is posted, and the person in question
discovers what has transpired...

They will try to clean up the mess....

Either way... you will be saving other people from the trap... If thre is
one...

I love trying to find people.. :)

As for everyone here Trashing me , Except for Kyle, I'am patiently
waiting for YOu and you Goons with louieville Sluggers to come and get
me ,

Please be a little more Civil like Mr Seaboyer says, It may have been
a misunderstanding or a mistake and everyone is ready for blood.

I've been doing Good business on this Newsgroup for years now and this
is the first time I've ever seen anything like this. With people
Posting My parents home, My name and Number.

Granted, my return email addy was wrong for a couple of days. However, this
only affected delivery on my work laptop (which I seldom use for personal
mail), not my home PC where 80% of our correspondance occured. However, you
managed to return my email when we were discussing payment without any
probems. Not to mention the fact I emailed you my home and business work
numbers, as well as email addresses.

Now. This is how things stand. I have proof I paid you in the form of a bank
receipt. You have no proof that you shipped the item. It can be handled
three ways. You can provide a receipt from Canada Post, where I will place a
claim for the insured amount. You can refund my money, and if by some fluke
the item arrives I will gladly repay. Then there is the difficult way, small
claims court. I just happen to have two lawyer friends who say it is a
pretty open and shut case, and not in your favour.

If it turns out that Canada Post screwed up the delivery, I will gladly
apologize on this group for any negative comments made towards youself on
this matter.

As far as the other individual who's receipt you also lost, I suggest you
find that too. He isn't a happy camper either.

Canada Post told me quite clearly that without a receipt number, they cannot
track a package. With literally millions of packages being sent through the
HRM, there is no way to track something down.

I guess what bothers me the most is that you charged me $17 for shipping (so
you said) and then told me you sent it regular parcel post. I would think
that for the amount I paid there would have been a courier, or at least
insured the package.

First of all, I never deal with anyone that only has a 'Hotmail-type'
account. With a real one you can track them down.

I went through something similar on E-Bay last year, and managed to track
the guy down. I got the RCMP involved (although they didn't really want to
get involved), and in the end I filed fraud, mail fraud (it's a biggie) and
anything else that applied on him. When the cops showed at his door (and
this was through his business) he thought it had all gone away. He gave me
my money back, after all I had before were excuses.

It never pays to be nice. Where money's involved, go after 'em.
