Greetings Citizens, Populace, and World-At-Large,
NOW BE IT KNOWN that
On the 16th of November, A.T.O. 28, being 2010 of the common era, the
Kingdom of Barad Duin shall hold its
Slightly-Belated, More-Like-Two-Thirds-But-Still-Technically-Mid-If-
You-Count-Mid-As-After-The-Beginning-But-Before-The-End,
*** Midreign Celebration ***
to mark the somewhere-between-the-beginning-and-the-end-of-his-reign
point of the Evil (Or At Least Slightly Naughty) King Rufus the
Grimwulff.
Planned activities will include:
* Monster Battles! *
* Arts and Sciences Tourney! *
* Costume Contest! *
*And, an actual, planned Bardic! *
You may now rejoice. Okay, enough.
The costume contest will be separate from the A&S tourney, and is
intended for hand-made or hand-altered costumes. The contest will be
IN CHARACTER, meaning the costume should be something that your
character would consider to be a costume. This does not necessarily
mean that it has to be period! However, it does mean that ordinary or
court garb will not by itself be allowed as a costume. (Store-bought
Iron Man or Transformers costumes may be considered for honorable
mention.)
Costume items may also be entered in the A&S tourney.
Being that this will be well after Halloween, the Regent will accept
no excuses for not having costumes! (Except perhaps fire, flood,
earthquake, bankruptcy, being eaten by gnolls, explosive flatulence,
or similar acts of deity or deities.)
