Adding MSD code field to the Data Collection Form

Hi everyone,

 

Now that we have started to review the facility update requests, and work with Dr. Matemba (DCS) on the public facilities, it seems that all public facilities include an MSD code that is used by MSD for identifying these facilities that supplies etc are delivered to/used.

 

I have now added this field to the draft paper form (see attached), and if we have agreement here, would like to add this to the Curation Tool also, so that this information can be updated for all the public facilities.  This way we have a good link to the current MSD codes in use, and link to the unique Facility ID, so that overtime can migrate MSD to using the Unique Facility ID.

 

Please let us know what you think about the addition of the MSD code to the data collection form, so we can decide as a group if this makes sense to add.

Hi Niamh

I think this is a good idea as every public facility has MSD code, in addition I suggest to put a note that this is for public facility only in order to avoid confusion when filling the form

Absolutely.   We can change the data form guide to include this, and have modified the form to add footnote under this field.
