Hi all,
It looks like most of the curation tool users find difficult to recover their password.
The attached document contains the steps one has to follow in order to recover his/her password.
Please share this with the tool's users whenever the password recovery question finds you while we are implementing the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) feature within the tool itself.

Thank you all and have a nice~day

Hi  Mr Ilomo,
Probably users forgot their password and looks like they are currently unaware of how they can recover their passwords.
I hope this document might help to make them aware.

Thanks again,

Michael Kambenga...

I can not convinced that such many users forget their username or password while they were able before to use those credentials to key in many facilities, then later on they found they are not able to log in, please work on open ID, there should an issue on it, users with yahoo ID tried these steps on your document but still they failed, you find faint reset link but for gmail it work.
See attachment
Scott I gave you list of users failed to log in HFR but no feedback till now.

Hi Ilomo and HFR group,

I just got back to the US after a few days in Uganda and then flying home.  I did share this challenge with UCC so that they could help take the lead on clarifying and identifying where the issue was and find a problem.

So from your email I take it that this is a technical not implementation challenge.  When you accessed the yahoo email that was sent from the tool, was this email in your spam folder?  Yahoo deactivates links when things are located in spam.  If you move the email out of Spam, the link becomes active.  Atleast this is how I observed it when I just tested it.  Ilomo and Michael/Robert, can you follow up with the three users by phone, and walk them through this recommendation?  Through doing this, you will also be able to see if my depiction above is correct regarding the challenge or if there is something else going on.  Sometimes these issues become like a game of telephone.  Direct engagement with users is always advisable to clarify where they get stuck.

Also, we have logged the issue as it pertains to our SSO (single sign on) service too.  We are seeking to help mitigate it from a design standpoint by instead of the user clicking on a link, having the URL written out.

Please let me know if there is anything else we can do to help out.

Best,
Scott

Thanks and well noted,
It looks like there are times this extra step is needed,we will have a look at it and add it in that simple password recovery document.

Thank you Ilomo and have a good~evening...
