Hey Team,

Another great win last week.  I believe this week is the first round of the playoffs but look for an email from NAKID at 6:44pm Thursday to confirm that.  We are playing the red team with the guy that absolutely LOVES kickball web gems.  We only won 7-6 so our non-RG3 game needs to be brought (too soon?).  Let me know if you'll be coming this week

MAJOR NEWS

Nakid is trying to pound more kickball into the next 2 weeks than we've ever seen.  Here's the skinny:

There will be 2 playoff rounds played this Thursday and 2 rounds played next Thursday.

For this Thursday, our first game will be at Thursday at 6:30 PM against some team, doesn't matter.  The important thing is that the game will be 15 minutes earlier.  The game will definitely be started closer to the actual game time because they want to sneak in 2 thirty minute games before we lose all light.  PLEASE make as many reasonable work and travel plans as you see fit.  If we win our first game, there will be a second game immediately following the first.  We beat the team we are playing 16-1 with three near cripples, be ready to play two.

I'm going to ignore everyone's previous RSVP in light of this new info, so please respond again.

Ok, team, we've got a problem.  The combination of NAKID fucking us, long commutes, and injuries has left us with an incredibly depleted lineup.  So depleted that really for the first time I don't think we can be competitive in a game with so few players.  Ladies, I love you, your dedication, and punctuality, but the outfield is just not going to play itself.  We would only have 2 guys max for the first game, and even against a team I think we could beat in our sleep, the runs and the outs would just be too much.  I'm about to email NAKID and tell them we will not be able to field a team for the first round of the playoffs unless there is an incredibly good argument as to why we should play with 7.  If we do hang it up for the season, we will still go to the bar tonight for one last HFIT throwdown.  Speak now or forever hold your peace.

I'm sad too, Ash.  NAKID gave me 2 playoffs scenarios: the current one with early and late games for 2 weeks on thursdays, or 2 weeks of regularly timed games with the final 2 rounds played on a saturday down the line.  I voted for the latter option.  Apparently the other captains did not agree.  We can still drink though which I'm sure is something you wanna do especially after last night
