Hi Everyone,

Excellent news! Ako Aotearoa, New Zealand's National Centre for Tertiary Teaching Excellence will be sponsoring the OER Foundation to facilitate a free online workshop on open content licensing for educators. This workshop will be open for all educators worldwide.

Ako Aotearoa is a strategic partner member of the OER Foundation.

The workshop is to be scheduled early in the new year.  Our first step is to select the best date by popular vote.  You will find more information here:

Please cast your vote by the close of business on 9 December 2011.

We will communicate the final dates on the lists hosted by the OER Foundation and then commence with self-registrations for the workshop.

Thanks Cable,

Of course -- participation from Creative Commons would be VERY useful.  You guys were actively involved in assisting with the development of the Creative Commons Unplugged tutorial.

Once we've fixed the date -- We'd appreciate support from CC in helping to get the word out.  Seeing as you are in a generous mood ;-) How about the Director of Global Learning joining the team as a facilitator.

Appreciate the support, Cable. Thanks

Wayne

Yes. CC is happy to help advertise when you have a date.

I'm also happy to help facilitate... but am mostly eager to learn along with everyone else.

Hi Tom,

Glad we can help. A return favour for all the Open Course Library materials we are going to be using in the OER university initiative.

So timing works well for your Feb training sessions.

This could be VERY useful for our next phase of Open Course Library faculty and staff (approx. 30 people). We will be training them in early Feb. and copyright is a critical component.

Thank you for your kind offer.
