Dear All,

Here is the latest Nevil news. Dermot, I wondered if you could extract the bit about his time at Heythrop and a little about him, for the Heythrop news letter? I'm sure you would do a much better job than I can!

Love

Diana.

Kia ora Diana

Thank you for your reply. I have attached the Eulogy for Nevil.  You are welcome to use whatever is significant.  I know that he will be pleased.

I lived in community with Nevil when he left to go to Heythrop and knew he was excited about the possibilities and also when he returned.  I think he came back full of confidence that his thinking was on the right track. He never lost his love for reading and finding new ways to be with  his God.  He was thrilled when Jack Mahoney published Christianity in Evolution: An Exploration – not only because of the Heythrop connection but also because he had a lot of respect for him and his thinking.

Nevil’s passing and the speed of it was a shock to us. We are gathering the brothers together later next month to reflect on his life and hopefully to give some closure to the brothers so that they can leave Nevil in the hands of his God and return to focus on the future and the Marist life that Nevil loved so much.

Noho ora mai (Chose Life)

David

Dear David, Kevin and Peter,

Thank you all for your kindness in keeping us in touch with all that has happened over the last weeks, regarding dear Nevil's illness and death. I was wondering if you had an obituary that I could submit to the Heythrop news letter which is published a few times a year? Nevil was the star student  of our year and it would be lovely if he could be remembered in this way.

If any of you ever find yourselves in London, do let us know, it would be lovely to meet you.

Thanks again for all your kindness,

Diana.
