I sent Ann an invitation to join our google group a while ago but have not heard anything from her. I'll send her an email to check whether she received it.

Dear Catherine,

I have been meaning to get in touch for weeks now but have been up to my neck in work and visitors. I am really sorry but will not be able to be with you on the 6th as I will be on my way home from Cologne. I had hoped to be back in time but could not manage it without cutting  my holiday short. I am really sorry to miss this one as I have enjoyed the others so much and know that some of our friends who have not been before will be there.
