Hello Ladies,
My director for the musical at the Annoyance pumped up rehearsal time today but I wanted to send you my pitches. If you have them no worries. I would also love to wrote along side anyone if they will have me. Oh, and help with direction. I've been interested in directing lately so if you like anything I pitch I would line to direct it
I'M NOT DYING ALONE
This is a song sung in the style of "I'm not getting married today" and is a song t POV of a late twenties woman responding to her recent trip home for the holidays. It could easily come at the end of a sketch or stand by itself. "I'll apt a car is I have to but I'm not DYING ALONE!"
SOUTHERN FACTS PSA RUNNER
With all of the horrible racist shit that's between going on, I've between a couple friends make comments like you must know Alli about this saliva you're from the south! Which, like, no.
So, the way it would work is this: Two person (or more) scene where someone makes a horrible assimilation about the south and then someone busts out with a fact proving the south isn't just a stereotype "did you know Lexington Kentucky has an openly gay mayor?" And then the "the more you know" would play.
This runner could/should include our favorite facts about our hometowns.
THE B&B CHECK IN
A couple from somewhere north of the Mason Dixon check in to a 90's country music themed B&B. This sketch will be a great sketch to showcase some big characters and or love for Randy Travis. I think I've said enough.
GIRLS WINE NIGHT
Just some gals out on the town, chatting, celebrating a promotion of one of the girls. Suddenly, Travelin' Soldier by Dixie Chicks comes on and mood starts to shift. They start crying, they become to honest with one another, maybe call their husband and ask for a divorce, so and so forth.
TSA BLACKOUT
Kristin going through TSA and the agent having to x-Ray her hair.
These. Are. Great! Thanks for being on top of life and brillant!!! And yes to writing partners and directing... Molly & I were hoping you'd be in to that. And.. if you feel up to it.. we would love you to perform in what you feel like you can handle... think about it!!!
