Decorating outside of Yurt with tape/spray paint???

I've noticed not much decoration on the Yurts.  I realize the reflectivity is an integral part of the function of the yurt, but I want to decorate!  Anyone have experiences to share?  I have purchased dozens of rolls of colored Duct tape to pattern parts of the outside (focusing mainly on the door which will face North and get a bit less sun).  Is this a complete waste of time and money?  Will it just bubble up and slide off in the heat, or dramatically change the function of the insulation? Has anyone tried spray paint? I will leave the roof alone and cover only 50% of the walls at the most.
