I do not quite follow this but I do not have an Orange Pi.
I thought it has only one ethernet port and according to your post that is connected as WAN port to a router higher up, so how can you connect a PC via Ethernet?

Then reset the device and try setting up OpenVPN client from the beginning, perhaps using the alternative openvpn PDF tutorial guide for HH5a contained in the wiki which uses different 'older' firewall setup.
