So I bought a Philips smart TV with the Roku features. Things have been fine up until last week. My wife and I were watching a show on Netflix when it shut the app off and continued to do this. Now the issue has begun with YouTube.

Firstly, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused your streaming with Netflix, YouTube, and the Weather Network channels on your Roku streaming devices. No worries! We're here to provide troubleshooting steps to help you get back on streaming.

Furthermore, Check Network Speed: Ensure your Wi-Fi connection is stable and performing well because sometimes, even with fiber optics, fluctuations in speed or signal strength can cause delays.

I'm having the same issue with Netflix and the Weather network on the roku devices, tried updating and reloading the apps, made no difference. All other streaming devices work fine only roku not working properly. Having difficulty getting help from roku. Not sure what to do next.

It's troubling that we pay for the devices just to have issues not long after. I got my father a Roku TV and have a Roku device hooked up to this other TV and never once has had an issue at all. I don't get it.

I have done these steps as you've suggested and that's a no fix solution. Maybe Roku needs to do a proper investigation than sitting here giving little useless fix it "solutions". My network speed is fine as is everything else. Just doesn't like YouTube and Netflix as far as I know.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue you are experiencing with Netflix and YouTube while streaming. We appreciate the time you took to follow the troubleshooting steps suggested by @RokuCarly. However, we understand that the issue still persists, and we would like to assist you further. To better isolate the problem, could you please provide us with the following additional information?

The feedback from your customer service in India is: Root cause of the problem with both the channel will be the issue with their App server platform to our server platform which can be resolved by doing couple of trouble shooting step and if the issue persist they channel partner should be contacted for further assistance as we do not have any further access to their App.

So all of a sudden yesterday evening the Netflix app on my roku stopped working. I did the router reset, checked for software updates, reset the roku, and deleted and reinstalled the Netflix app. It takes 7-9 minutes I open Netflix to the accounts option. Then 2-4 minutes to load Netflix and then forever to load a show to play, then after a few minutes it stops and loads again for a very long time. When reinstalling the app it took almost 25 minutes to add the channel.
please help!!

Just finished installing a new Express, everything seems to be good except NetFlix. It tries to start the NetFlix app and crashes, returns back to home screen. I have a Roku Ultra on a different tv, it loaded the Netflix app, required me to do a sign in but the worked normally. Idid remove the app and reinstalled with no change. Not sure what to try now.

If this issue is not resolved, please help us with additional information provided below that would be helpful for our team to look into this problem.
-What Roku model device are you using?
-What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue?
-What are you seeing on screen? Can you provide a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing?

I have four roku unit on my tv's . About three months ago one of the units quit loading net flix . In my investigating I swapped that one for another . [ family room to office as I rarely watch netflix in the office, problem averted]. Two days ago another roku devise stopped loading netflix. my hisense smart tv and the other two roku devises are still loading netflix????? What should I do?

If the problem still persists after attempting the troubleshooting steps and videos from other channels play fine, contact the channel provider's customer support team to report the issue and get help. Channels on Roku are maintained by the channel developers themselves. In this case, there's likely an issue within that specific channel that needs to be addressed with an update from them.

Everything worked well for months. Suddenly, when we put Netflix on, no sound. There IS sound for a Netflix trailer, but not for an actual show. All other apps (Disney +, CW, Amazon Prime) are working fine. In another room, with another Roku, Netflix is working fine. What happened, and what needs to be done?

My son was able to fix it. I believe he went into Roku settings and then audio. And change the setting to stereo. Rather than the other one that was selected. And the hdmi setting was at auto. Restarted netflix and it was back to normal. Not sure why it started (never changed the setting to begin with) but it's worked fine since. Hope this helps!

Can you please provide more information about the issue you are experiencing? Is the issue you are experiencing only happen on the Netflix channel or does the loss of audio happen on all channels? What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue? How long has the issue been occurring?

As a first step, could you try to remove any channel you observe this issue on from the Roku home screen? Then, restart your device. Once it loads up again, add the channel back once more and try playing content again.

Unplug everything from the back of the cable box. Wait a minute or two. Plug it all back in. Let it reload. My sound came right back on. I have an lg. Smart tv and Im on direct tv. Had great sound for netflix. No sound for tv programs

If you have cable or satellite try unplugging everything connected to your cable or satellite box. Wait a minute or two, then reconnect. I had this same problem & it restored the sound on my TCL Roku TV. I have Spectrum cable.

I did not have tv sound, but Netflix sound on my TCV roku tv. I unplugged the HDM! cable and the power cord to the back of the cable box. I came back a few minutes later and plugged them both back in. Success!!

Are you wondering, "Why can't I play Netflix on my projector?" It can be frustrating when your projector doesn't cooperate with your streaming plans. Netflix uses HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) technology to prevent unauthorized copying of digital audio and video content. If your projector or HDMI cable does not support HDCP, it will not be able to stream Netflix. You may encounter an error message regarding HDCP compatibility, or you might see a blank screen when you attempt to stream Netflix content.

If you're encountering the issue of why isn't Netflix working on your projector, it may be due to unsupported app or software problems. This is particularly common with older projectors that may not have the capability to support the Netflix app, or when the streaming device connected to the projector is running on outdated software. Symptoms include the Netflix app being unavailable, failing to open, or crashing unexpectedly.

If you're wondering "why can't I connect to Netflix," especially when trying to stream via a projector, it could be due to connectivity problems. A weak or unstable internet connection is often the culprit behind streaming disruptions. Symptoms of such connectivity issues include constant buffering, frequent loading interruptions, or an error message indicating a connection problem.

If you're experiencing the issue where "I can't watch Netflix" on your projector, it could be due to resolution and format incompatibility. This means that your projector may not support the specific resolution or format of the content you're trying to stream from Netflix. Symptoms of this incompatibility include poor image quality or error messages indicating that the format is not supported.

If you find "Chromecast Netflix not working," the issue may stem from device compatibility. It's possible that your streaming device, such as Chromecast, Roku, or Amazon Fire Stick, isn't compatible with your projector, or there may be an issue with the specific HDMI port you are using.
