What is encouraging is the election of a new Committee of Management,
one who clearly has a great deal of experience to offer the Club. I
felt there was a genuine enthusiasm for change and an optimism which
was most heartening. I'd like to thank everyone who attended and
contributed to a thoroughly successful meeting.
Full minutes and results from the election held shall follow over the
next few days.
Seumas Bates
I understand that one problem that the new CoM will face is a lack of
historical records. Unfortunately, much of this was kept on paper.
However, I do have access to some. You are welcome to contact me
about these. I did promise Michael that I would email him, but given
my health and deadlines, can you please contact me?
thanks.

1. An EGM is an EXTRORDINARY general meeting, not an emergency general
meeting.
2. Desmond Mackenna was the original chair, then Eileen, then Seamus.
This should be made clear.
3. There is no record of who nominated and seconded in each case.
This must be included (as was said at the meeting)
4. I think that you should include Desmond's account of why the CoM
had to close the Club. While he did not say much, he did explain to
the meeting why it was felt necessary.

And - by the way - this has to be the record for the fastest ever
minutes for a Club GM. Impressive!
