With this in mind I would appreciate it if people would indicate here
if they (or others who are not members of this website) have documents
or data directly pertinent to the Club, either in terms of historical
records or with regard to recent 'Save The Club' activities.
The Exec can then get in touch and begin a stockpile of such goodies.
Thanks
Could you please list the names of the new Exec for those of us who
couldn't make it to the EGM? I'm sure a summary of the meeting is
forthcoming, but these basic data would be a good start.
Thanks in advance,
Josh

Well done for stepping up to the plate all of you.
I have some documents from 1993-94; possibly minutes of general
meetings, definitely versions of the constitution, rules and policy.
I have loads of minutes from when I was Hon Sec and ordinary CoM
member. I've also got various policy documents, a guide to running
elections, HR stuff ... and probably more - this is just from memory.
If one of you contact me I'll stick it onto a disc for you. There's
too much to attach to an email.
I can also get some old accounts in hard copy, and a copy of the
refurb plans including a black and white copy of the drawings.
I may be in Uni tomorrow afternoon.
Sarah
Sarah, that also sounds excellent, I intend to be in Uni tomorrow
afternoon myself, do you have an office I could drop by?
I'm in Philosophy (69 Oakfield Avenue). I'll copy everything I have
right now. Niall Barr has hard copies of various accounts. I'll ring
him now and arrange to collect them - he's Southpark Terrace, so it's
easy for me to pick them up.
If, for any reason, we miss each other tomorrow, I'll leave everything
with the secretaries for you. Their office is dead easy - right
inside the front door.

Thanks once again.
Yeah, they ran away at 5pm and locked the door! I'm at Strathclyde on
Monday, but the stuff is in my box with your name on it and the
secretaries know to expect you sometime.

Maybe, now things are more settled, the CoM could consolidate all of
the threads so far and as Josh suggests, provide those of us who are
interested with a way of knowing when threads are particularly
relevant.
And - please - can the description on the "save the" page be updated?
Not only is the description negative, it is also inaccurate.
Cheers, all.

Indeed. The former is rather temporary.
There are a couple of balances to be drawn, including the balance between keepingpeople informed, but not posting such minutiae that it becomes boring and people unsubscribe from the list.

I expect this list will quieten down a bit, as the focus moves to the various bits of detail involved in getting the club back in business; we must of course avoid the list going completely silent.
I think we'll have to see how all this works out. I'll undertake to keep an eye on the situation, and supply any nudges that might be required.

+1 from me. Less noise => more signal.
See you,
