I messed up big time. My wife and I have been saving every penny for a down payment on a condo in Calgary for three years. A few months ago, I thought I’d be "smart" and put about 5k of that fund into some altcoins to speed things up. Well, the market dipped and I'm sitting on a 40% loss. Now she wants to sit down this weekend and look at our savings because we finally found a place we like. How do I even explain this? Has anyone ever had to "confess" a crypto loss to their partner? I feel like a total idiot and I’m worried this is going to ruin our trust.
