Tune in to KKFI 90.1FM this Thursday night, May 14, from 8:00pm to 10:00pm for the KKFI local showcase. Sharon Lockhart will host, and Jim Herrmann will co-host a songwriter showcase. This week's show will feature both young and old.
We'll have young sensations Nicolette Paige, the left-handed-upside-down-guitar-playing-amazing-voice singer songwriter, and young guitar virtuosos Thomas (Tommy) Herrmann and Matthew McKinney. Now the old guys. ;-) Seasoned songwriter, world traveled, Dr. Bill Peet will join us, and the amazing bass voice of songwriter Rick Malsick will be there to sing some songs from his brand new album. Amazing fiddler Stephen Golightly will also be in the studio to play with us.
The Herrmannators current configuration is Jim Herrmann, Rick Malsick, and Stephen Golightly, and they will be playing together at the top of each half hour. But for those of you who know the history of the Herrmannators, you will recognize that Bill Peet and Tommy Herrmann are past members, so you can count on some jamming and group singing going on. It should be a great time. Don't miss it.
The Herrmannators and Nicolette Paige will join Checkered Past and Esoke in performing at the Community Festival Justice and Peace on Saturday, May 16 at the UMKC University Center and Walkway, 50th and Rockhill Rd., KCMO. from 1:00 to 5:00. For more information visit:
