Mixed Nationals

Hi Brisbane ultimate community,
Mixed Nationals is in Canberra (my home town) on October 25th-27th and I want to send a team down. Read on if you're vaguely interested in playing and aren't already on a team.
I am (as far as I know) the only person organising a Brisbane team for mixed nationals this year. I know of other teams around but none confirmed for the SQLD zone yet. Please let me know if I'm wrong, as this affect my plans.
My plan for a team is this:
- Open invite for anyone of any skill level to try out
- Regular training, starting early August (or sooner if people are keen)
- Training initially open to all, but may be restricted closer to AMUC depending on turn out.
- Selection around late September; based on skill, attitude, and potential. (Training attendance encouraged but may not be a requirement)
- My ideal training is mainly game-focused, with structures and principles incorporated into real, or close to real, game play. This depends on the team though!
Very roughly, cost would be around $600 for everything (training, flights to Canberra, entry fee, etc). I know money is tight for some people, so costs could be reduced by road-tripping and staying at my parents place (maybe only a few hundred - yes, this is possible, contact me if you want to know more).
That's about as far as my planning has got so far.
For now I am looking for one or two people to help me with the organisational side of things, so please let me know if you are keen to be involved. This could be behind the scenes, or coaching/running trainings/planning etc. Note, this does not guarantee you a spot on the team (just as I am not guaranteed a spot if heaps of amazing people try out).
Of course let me know if you're keen to play as well!
