Right Side Inguinal Hernia repaired with mesh

Hello Dr.

I have had my right side inguinal hernia for about 10 years. I had researched about your procedure in the early days and had decided to go to your clinic in Pune and get it fixed instead of using mesh. But eventually I decided to wait and watch as it was anyway very small hernia and not bothering.

Last month it got big enough to descend into scrotum, that made me anxious. Also I was in a hurry to fix it due to other life obligations. This urgency to get it fixed and the time gap of my initial research made me forget about your procedure totally and I blindly went ahead for open surgery with mesh, here in Mumbai :(

Only after coming back home from hospital last week after the procedure, I remembered about you but by that time it was too late.

Please advice what to do now? I am healing well no pain or anything but I want to get rid of the mesh due to it's potential dangers down the line. It feels like a hanging sword.

I also have mesh but mine was put without my knowledge for a small umbilical hernia i was born with ,I have no pain nor any discomfort but am suspecting mesh is causing some infection not to clear up recesently ,i visited dersada before and he was ready to remove my mesh but am scared .Friends here please let me know if there is anyone who got their mesh out by dersada and how is your experience i need to know because some doctors say even the experienced dr. Has to have removed many meshes to do it well. Kindly waiting for replies whoever had their mesh removed by dersada
