For community information I made a 48 hours fast this week end for other reasons and I noticed a significant reduction of my inguinal hernia.
I will continue a vegetarian  diet based on "acestral diet" rules : no corn, no wheat, no milk and no industry-modified components are the basic rules of this. Let's see if it continues to improve...

Welcome to our discussion group, Calvin. At the following web page you will find a summary of how I healed my inguinal hernia in 3 weeks without surgery. After reading, you are welcome to ask any further questions:

Please tell us where you live, because different resources are available in different countries and places.

Tres bien!  I concur .. have experimented with dietary effects,  after hearing various opinions on the subject, including one from a medical practitioner that apart from avoiding foods that create gas and eating in small amounts, anything goes. NOT. (at least for me)

So far, I have found that staying on a very light regimen helps a lot, eating a near normal meal results in a back to near original size bulge .. Definitely meats and even fish don't help (tho to be honest I ate them in 'normal' quantities). Coffee in the morning (no sugar ! *) helps to clear the bowels before exercising. I'm also on a no sugars/ no wheat, and actually no grains diet .. not even yoghurt, certainly no any cheeses as they are mucus forming..
As proteins are needed for muscle repair I do take whey protein extracts (better quality from Swanson's and Source Naturals) on an emtpy stomach after exercising.  And just to be on the safe side, I take chicken (and other meat) stocks /soups that I make myself (for lack of a reliable source) with veggies and sometimes brown rice (only grain I keep using, finding that even rye flour doesn't agree w/me

Andre in New York City USA

PS details:
- sugars: have successfully cut *all* sugars, including honey, maple syrup, etc. (but not fresh * dried fruits). For coffee etc I sometimes use a few drops of  SweetLeaf liquid stevia & vanilla (from Vitacost)
- for whey: Source Naturals TrueWhey premium protein powder and Swanson Ultra bioactive whey (from Swanson)
- food sources: definitely local and clean (aka organic) is preferable. Here in NYC I am lucky to have a few resources available via private buying clubs
Great resource is the Weston A Price foundation

PS2. Re Assange etc. - agreed, AND also need to consider that all this is not happening in a vacuum. Practically all politicians are part of the system. Kennedy was the last one I know who tried to openly change the status quo. One has to do one's own research, because the public media is heavily controlled/ filtered/ censored. Fortunately the internet is (still) open, tho of course you will have noted the many attempts to also control it (google ' save the internet" for more info)
