Inguinal hernia - 6 year old boy.

Hi all. I am a mother to am alsmost 6 yr old boy who has an inguinal hernia. The doctor recommend surgery. We noticed it about 3-4 years ago and it has come and gone and doctor said just to watch it. Lately is in protruding most of the time especially with increased activity. It is on his Left side.

I wanted to see if anyone can direct me to any information as to how I can help my son.

You could search the threads here for cures; they can only help whether you opt for surgery or not. With surgery there is a small but real possibility of re occurence, needing more operations (see the info on these threads esp about the French doc Francoeur who has published his method and suffered precisely that predicament).  The Hernia Bible (google it in the US google ) is an excellent basic source.

Since your son is so young, it should be easy to have him start on a solid muscle building regimen and beneficial food habits. (this group doesn't go in too much detail about it, but I suggest looking at the Weston A Price foundation for the best guidelines - no sugars, starches, quinoa is OK,  meat from grass fed animals only, fats are OK if from such animals,  EVO virgin oil only (or coconut oil) .. no artificial anything, no boxed cereals etc. anything to help with having good bowel movements etc )
